Engagement Type: Contract Location: Hybrid, Ottawa, Ontario Work Arrangement: Approximately 10 days onsite per month; flexibility may be considered for qualified candidates outside the Ottawa area. Overview
Kyndryl Canada is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Management Specialist to support a large-scale enterprise AI transformation initiative for a major Canadian organization. This role will lead the planning, coordination, governance, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change management activities required to successfully advance AI adoption and operational transformation.
The successful consultant will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to establish and enhance AI governance frameworks, delivery models, operating structures, and transformation roadmaps while driving alignment across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and evolve an outcome-driven AI Transformation Roadmap aligned with business priorities.
Lead planning and execution activities supporting AI framework development, communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and change management initiatives.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of AI governance frameworks, operating models, architecture patterns, reusable assets, and implementation playbooks.
Facilitate collaboration between executive leaders, business units, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Coordinate leadership committees, steering groups, governance forums, workshops, demos, and review sessions to ensure alignment and progress.
Establish and maintain reporting frameworks, performance metrics, governance processes, and transformation oversight mechanisms.
Support enterprise AI adoption by identifying opportunities to scale successful capabilities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver project management leadership and related transformation activities as required.
Required Qualifications Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience leading large-scale enterprise projects, programs, or transformation initiatives.
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting AI transformation, digital modernization, innovation, or emerging technology initiatives.
Proven success delivering complex initiatives within Agile environments involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Experience establishing governance models, operating frameworks, reporting structures, KPI frameworks, and program oversight processes.
Demonstrated experience supporting organizational change management initiatives, including communications, training, stakeholder engagement, and workforce enablement.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of AI technologies, AI governance principles, and AI adoption strategies.
Ability to build strong relationships across executive, business, and technical stakeholder groups.
Education & Certifications
University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
AI, Cloud, Digital Transformation, or related professional certifications are considered strong assets.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be located in Canada and legally authorized to work in Canada.
Must be eligible to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance.
Must be available to support a hybrid engagement model.
