Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Specialist Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join their team based in Yorkshire. 
   
JOB DETAILS
PAY RATE: £18 - £21 per hour  
WORK TYPE: Temporary
WORK PATTERN: Full Time
LOCATION: Yorkshire
   
JOB SUMMARY
The Specialist Domestic Abuse Practitioner will work as part of a multi-agency team to provide a high-quality frontline and first point of contact service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering an immediate co-ordinated response to those at high, medium and standard risk, prioritising those at highest risk of serious harm. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

•   You will carry out initial screening, complete safety planning, and provide ongoing emotional and practical support to victims/ survivors. Victims/survivors views and needs are the focus of the service, ensuring that their safety, wellbeing, and freedom sits at the core of all work that we do
• You will make proactive contact with perpetrators of domestic abuse and use motivational interviewing to encourage them to address their abusive behaviours by accessing our in-house Spotlight Programme

  
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• To have experience working in domestic abuse and its impact on victims/survivors, including children and young people
