Job Title - CNC Machine Programmer/Operator
Site location - Ilfracombe
Responsible to - Production Manager
Responsible for - Programming, setting and operating of multiple CNC machines whilst ensuring the products produced meet client specification at all times
Client brief - Our client is a global supplier of complex machined investment castings, in aluminium, steel, and vacuum melted super alloys supporting a multitude of industries with a large variety of client specific machined products
KEY INFORMATION
Reason for vacancy - Increased demand
Contract - Permanent
Basic pay - £16.00-18.00 ph
Shifts - Monday to Thursday ONLY, 7am-5pm, 38 hours paid per week for basic hours
Breaks - 30 min lunch, early and late 10-minute break
Overtime - Regular overtime available paid @ 1.5x basic rate
Holidays - 25 days + Bank Holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role - Our client is looking for CNC Milling & Lathe Machine Programmer/Operator to join their busy team in Ilfracombe on permanent contract. As a CNC Milling & Lathe Machine Programmer/Operator your responsibilities are as follows –
· To set up machines with maximum efficiency.
· Responsible for efficient production, including the multi-manning of machines where required.
· Maintain all production paperwork packs to include MIPC Sheets / Synchro Sheets, and all associated documents.
· Maintain gauging and measuring equipment currently held on the area.
· To liaise with Inspection Department to ensure timely first off.
· Maintain a clean and tidy environment operating within the site.
· Maintain and conform to all Health and Safety requirements.
· Attend meetings as required.
· Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
· Responsible for individual job improvement.
Key skills required
· Previous knowledge of a manufacturing environment
· Multi skilled machinist (Milling/Turning) with experience of 3 & 4 axis machining in operating and in programming.
· Ideally, familiarity with Fanuc & Heidenheim machine controls.
· Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and associated paperwork.
