Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Operative
 
Location: Ellesmere Port
 
Salary: 13.95ph
 
Overview: We're recruiting a Quality Assurance Operative to join a busy manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining product standards and ensuring all quality, hygiene, and safety procedures are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular production line quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Record and report inspection results accurately, addressing non-conformances in line with company procedure.
• Monitor hygiene, packaging, and labeling standards during production runs.
• Support continuous improvement activities, identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve quality performance.
• Ensure all work complies with site policies, food safety legislation, and BRC requirements.
• Liaise with production supervisors and line leaders to maintain consistent communication around quality issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a QA, QC, or similar role within manufacturing or FMCG (preferably food or paper products).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations quickly.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of HACCP or GMP principles is advantageous.
