Civil Engineer - Infrastructure LEAD INFORMATION
Job Title: Civil Engineer - Infrastructure - Site location: Plymouth, Devon - Responsible to: Associate Director / Civil Engineering Team Lead - Purpose of the role: To deliver civil infrastructure design for residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects, supporting schemes from concept through planning approval and construction stages.
Client brief: Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong workload across development infrastructure. They are looking to strengthen their Plymouth team with a Civil Engineer who has experience delivering highways and drainage design for development projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES The role
Deliver infrastructure design for residential and commercial developments - Design highways and drainage systems in line with UK standards - Prepare submissions for S278, S38 and S104 approvals - Produce drainage strategies and infrastructure design packages - Undertake hydraulic modelling using industry software - Produce engineering drawings and technical reports - Liaise with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary design teams - Support project delivery from concept through to construction
Key Skills Required
Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline - Experience in development infrastructure design - Knowledge of S278, S38, S104 approvals and SuDS design - Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civils 3D and drainage modelling software - Strong communication and technical report writing skills - Working towards professional chartership desirable
