Our client is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join their team in the production of steel items for the company product range based out of Wigan

Job Title - Press Brake Operator
Site location - Wigan
Responsible to - Production Manager
Responsible for - Safe operation of press brake and laser cutting equipment and other generalist production responsibilities
Client brief - Our client is a specialist supplier of design and manufacture services for a diverse range of industries worldwide
KEY INFORMATION
Reason for vacancy - Increased demand
Contract - Temporary to permanent
Basic pay - £12-14.50ph depending on experience
Shifts - Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Fridays 8am-12.30pm
Breaks - 15-minute morning break, half hour lunch break
Overtime - 1.5x basic rate – regularly available, overtime is totally optional
Holidays - Accrual (21 days + BH once permanent)
Facilities - Canteen, staff parking
Additional - Training available to further your experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role - Production of steel items for company product range within a high-quality production environment.
Use of press brake and laser cutting machinery throughout shift.
Reading and interpreting drawings to specification.
Generalist hand tools where necessary.
Adhering to company health and safety requirements at all times.
Individual responsibilities
Safe operation of press brake and laser cutting machinery
Responsible for your own output and meeting daily company targets
Shift duration per day - 8.5 hours
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Previous experience working with press brake OR laser cutting machinery in a fabrication environment.
Ability to use technical drawings.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Good level of verbal and written English.
