Mine Surveyor – FIFO 8/6 | Contract or Permanent | $65–$75/hr

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking experienced Mine Surveyors for multiple positions across leading open pit and hard rock mining operations in Western Australia. These roles offer strong technical support, long-term opportunities, and the flexibility to join on either contract or permanent terms.

About the Role

You will provide accurate survey data to support production, drill & blast, mine planning, and site engineering activities. Working closely with technical services and operational teams, you will ensure mine plans are executed safely, efficiently, and to statutory standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting open pit surveys including production, D&B, pickups, CMS, and volumes
• Maintaining survey control networks and ensuring compliance with standards
• Updating DTM models, designs, and digital survey files
• Liaising with engineers, geologists, and management for daily operations

Requirements

• Experience as a Mine Surveyor (open pit or underground)
• Proficiency with Leica/Trimble/Topcon equipment
• Experience with Surpac, Deswick, 12D, AutoCAD, TBC or similar
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• FIFO capacity from Perth on an 8/6 roster
