About the Role As a Tube Fitter, you’ll be working on a major LNG project, responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of tubing systems across a heavy industrial environment. This is a hands-on role suited to tradespeople with strong experience in oil & gas or large-scale construction projects.
You'll be working across: - Stainless steel, copper, and alloy tubing systems
- Tube installation, fit-up, bending, threading, and assembly
- Compression fittings (Swagelok, Parker, or equivalent)
- Valves, supports, and related instrumentation components
- Hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing of tubing systems
- Reading and interpreting isometric drawings, P&IDs, and layout sketches
Key Responsibilities - Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and layout sketches to plan tubing installations
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit tubing to specified dimensions using hand and power tools
- Assemble and install tubing systems, fittings, valves, supports, and related components
- Perform hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing on completed systems
- Ensure all joints and connections are made according to engineering standards and safety codes
What You Will Bring to the Team / Qualifications - Experience as an Instrumentation Tube Fitter in oil & gas or construction projects
- Familiarity with Swagelok, Parker, or equivalent compression fitting systems
- Trade certification or vocational training in pipefitting, tube fitting, or related mechanical discipline preferred
- Experience with stainless steel, copper, and alloy tubing
- High Risk Licences – Working at Heights (WAH) and Confined Spaces
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and D&A
