Seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for FIFO construction and shutdown projects within the mining sector. These roles offer immediate starts, a 2:1 roster, and the opportunity to work on major mining infrastructure projects with a well-established contractor. This is a great opportunity for fitters who enjoy project-based work across construction, installation, and shutdown maintenance within large-scale mining operations.
 
The Role
Working as part of an experienced site team, duties may include:

• Mechanical installation and assembly of mining plant and equipment
• Maintenance, repairs and shutdown work on fixed plant
• Installation of pumps, conveyors, crushers and structural components
• Alignments, fault finding and equipment inspections
• Working to strict site safety procedures and project schedules

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner
• Previous mining, shutdown or heavy industrial experience
• Strong mechanical installation and maintenance skills
• Ability to work in remote site environments
• Commitment to safety and teamwork

 
Tickets & Licences

• Cert III Mechanical Fitter
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• High Risk Work Licence (Rigging, Dogging or EWP advantageous)
• Valid Driver's Licence
