At Cho Cho San, we bring the vibrant energy and spirit of Tokyo to Potts Point. Since opening, we’ve been honored with a Chef’s Hat every year. Just minutes from the city and easily accessible by public transport, we’re now looking for a Head Chef to lead our back-of-house team and elevate Cho Cho San’s unique food identity in the Australian hospitality scene.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the Director and Group Chefs to create and implement innovative, high-quality menus that embody our dedication to excellent cuisine.
Oversee kitchen budgets, managing food costs, and maintaining profitability while upholding our standards of quality.
Lead, train, and mentor new kitchen team members in culinary techniques and protocols, promoting a culture of ongoing development and enhancement.
Oversee day-to-day kitchen activities to ensure smooth and consistent food preparation and service.
Evaluate and review team performance, offering constructive feedback and guidance to foster their career advancement.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Demonstrates a deep passion for cooking, a keen interest in quality ingredients, and a strong understanding of kitchen management and operations.
Possesses substantial experience leading teams as Head Chef level in a Japanese Restaurant with a proven track record of success.
Shows a genuine interest in developing, nurturing, and training team members, with a focus on building their capabilities and confidence.
Is highly organised, responsible, and hands-on in the kitchen, with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
