Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in London , are looking for an experienced Complex Repairs Case Officer  to join their team and play a crucial role in their administrative operations. 

Position: Complex Repairs Case Officer
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temporary (March) with Possible Extension

Key Responsibilities:

The Complex Repairs Case Officer supports the delivery of excellent customer service in complex repairs, disrepair cases, and damp and mould issues, while also aiding the council's adaptation programs to help residents stay in their homes. You will work with a team to minimize customer inconvenience and legal risks, coordinating with council staff, contractors, and legal representatives. The role requires strong organizational skills, high-quality outcomes, and accurate reporting to assist senior management in decision-making and budget management. Additionally, you will contribute to the council's broader corporate priorities and strategic objectives.

• Dynamic Case Management: Oversee the timely and effective delivery of complex repair and disrepair cases, ensuring compliance with organizational vision, values, and policies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with legal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve disputes, manage legal disrepair cases, and minimize claims through innovative solutions and best practices.
• Service Improvement and Coordination: Lead service improvements, track diagnostics, and coordinate remedial actions for damp, mould, and other complex repairs to meet policy standards and deadlines.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure robust record-keeping, manage budgets, monitor performance, and deliver cost-effective repairs and one-off capital projects while adhering to compliance and health & safety standards.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Amplify the customer voice in decision-making, foster clear communication with all stakeholders, and enhance the overall customer repair experience.
• Team Leadership and Performance Management: Contribute to a high-performing team by promoting continuous improvement, achieving key performance indicators, and driving tenant satisfaction measures.

Job Requirements:

• Expertise in Case Management: Extensive knowledge and accountability in managing complex disrepair cases within social housing, with a strong understanding of Housing Disrepair protocols.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Proven ability to deliver excellent and sensitive customer service, backed by strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strategic Analysis and Improvement: Skilled in analyzing trends, extracting lessons learned, and implementing process improvements in consultation with stakeholders.
• Teamwork and Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, harness team potential, and align decisions with the organization’s goals.
• Business Acumen: Solid understanding of key business functions, including Finance, ICT, Governance, Health & Safety, and Diversity, with financial awareness for cost-effective decision-making.
• Adaptability and Performance: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines under pressure, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a passion for delivering outstanding results.
