We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader, on behalf of our client based in Kempston. The contract for this position is on a permanent basis!

JOB DETAILS

• PAY RATE: £45,648 - £49,651 per annum
• WORK TYPE: Permanent
• WORK PATTERN: Full Time
• LOCATION: Kempston

• To  lead the HR & Payroll Transactions Team ensuring 10,000 people are paid accurately and on time each month.
• Key tasks will include managing the team and accounts of external clients, running the payroll, balancing payroll accounts, end of month pay overs, payroll invoicing, pension administration and keeping up to date with legislation impacting HR and Payroll.
• Direct, Lead, Manage and Coach The Payroll and HR Transactions team, setting clear targets, undertaking PDRS and identifying training needs for the team and ensuring the team are up to date with relevant information.
• To ensure the accurate payment of salaries and that appropriate control are in place to meet audit requirements and to not put the Council at any risk.
• Lead On the operation and development of the HR & Payroll system, ensuring it is compliant with legislation to run accurate payrolls and to meet business needs; maintaining the integrity of the system.

• First hand experience using Resourcelink and operating a complex HR and Payroll system is essential. 
• Must be CIPP qualified with substantial experience of working in a local government in a HR/Payroll environment.
• Must have the ability to manage and lead a team and you will need to be able to manage conflicting demands.
