About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a hands‑on facilities professional with experience maintaining residential or commercial buildings to a high standard. In this role, you will be confident managing contractors, coordinating maintenance activities, and completing general handyman tasks as required. With a strong understanding of workplace health and safety and emergency management, you take a proactive approach to keeping people, assets, and facilities safe.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage maintenance and presentation of apartments, common areas, exteriors, plant, and equipment, including repairs, inspections, and defect management
- Deliver preventative maintenance programs and coordinate minor and major works
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, building codes, and regulatory requirements
- Lead emergency planning, essential services compliance, risk management, and sustainability initiatives
- Manage contractors end-to-end, including tendering, onboarding, performance, and KPI tracking
- Monitor maintenance budgets and expenditure, ensuring cost-effective and ethical procurement
Skills & Experience Required:
You are a proactive and hands-on facilities or maintenance professional with a strong track record of managing property operations in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in maintaining high presentation standards and enjoy being on the ground to ensure everything runs smoothly. You will also have
- Proven experience in facilities, maintenance, or property operations
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, building compliance, and risk management
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to multitask
- Driver's licence + reliable vehical
- Unrestricted working rights & valid National Police Check.
