Our client is looking for a remote High-Frequency Electrical Consulting Engineer to join their team!
This is a remote/full-time/direct-hire position with occasional travel
Salary based on experience: Up to $150K
What You'll Do
Provide Consulting Services
- Work with customers to understand analysis requirements and expectations
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules
- Propose alternative design solutions based on engineering insights
- Prepare technical reports and documentation tailored to customer needs
Deliver Technical Support
- Provide support to ANSYS electromagnetic software users via phone, email, and in-person interaction
- Troubleshoot modeling challenges, simulation workflows, and technical issues
Support Pre-Sales Activities
- Collaborate with account managers to assess customer needs
- Answer technical questions during the sales process
- Deliver software demonstrations and technical presentations
Provide Technical Training
- Teach ANSYS courses at client sites, online, and in SimuTech offices across the U.S. and Canada
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's preferred
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Hands-on experience with ANSYS tools such as HFSS, SIwave, or EMC Plus
- Must be authorized to work permanently in the U.S.
Technical Expertise (One or More Core Areas)
EMI/EMC & Device Modeling
- EMI/EMC simulation (e.g., MIL-STD-461G)
- Conducted and radiated emissions, ESD, lightning, susceptibility
- Complex system modeling (PCBAs, enclosures, cable assemblies)
- Circuit modeling (filters, chokes, ferrite beads, etc.)
Antenna & RF Design
- Antenna modeling and optimization in HFSS
- Large-scale antenna placement simulation
- Phased array design and simulation
- RF feed and matching network analysis
Signal & Power Integrity
- High-speed channel modeling (S-parameters, TDR, eye diagrams)
- Transmission line modeling in HFSS or SIwave
- Power integrity and AC extraction of PCB power rails
Core Skills
- Strong background in high-frequency electromagnetics, circuits, and numerical methods
- Ability to support pre-sales efforts through technical expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation and client-facing abilities
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
- Experience with signal/power integrity, RF/microwave, or antenna applications
- Exposure to low-frequency electronics (motors, transformers, etc.)
- System-level modeling (TwinBuilder or Simulink)
- Interest in multiphysics simulation (thermal, structural, fluids, acoustics)
- CAD modeling experience (3D geometry creation or simplification)
- Familiarity with optimization and DOE methods
- Basic programming/scripting (Python, C#, .NET, C++, etc.)
- Experience leveraging AI tools for automation and workflows
Additional Details
- Location: Remote in the USA or Canada
- Travel: As required for customer engagements and training
