Head of Finance
Location: Miami, FL
Compensation: Up to $200,000 base plus 25% variable compensation, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, fully on-site
ttg Talent Solutions is conducting a confidential search for a hands-on Head of Finance to join a privately held, Miami-based real estate company. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a finance leader who understands brokerage economics, multi-entity reporting, commission-driven operations, cash management, and executive-level financial visibility.
The ideal candidate will bring direct real estate brokerage finance experience, strong controllership discipline, and the ability to partner closely with executive leadership while strengthening reporting, process discipline, profitability visibility, and financial decision support across the organization.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building structure, improving financial visibility, and operating as a true business partner in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance and accounting function across a multi-entity, multi-line-of-business operating environment.
- Serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Improve the timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of monthly financial reporting.
- Strengthen month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger discipline, and internal reporting cadence.
- Build and maintain reliable ownership and management reporting, including segment, business-line, office-level, and profit-center performance.
- Evaluate and refine cost allocation methodologies across shared services, offices, entities, and operating lines.
- Improve profitability visibility across departments, offices, and business units.
- Oversee treasury and cash management activities, including liquidity visibility, short-term cash planning, intercompany cash movement, and cash concentration structures.
- Strengthen banking structure and account rationalization across entities.
- Own senior banking relationships and act as the primary point of contact with banking partners.
- Oversee brokerage-related finance workflows, including commission accounting, agent billing, transaction allocations, and related financial controls.
- Establish stronger forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning processes.
- Support acquisition analysis, deal modeling, and finance due diligence as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team while creating clear ownership, accountability, and operating cadence.
- Improve SOPs, internal controls, approvals, and accountability across key finance workflows.
- Work across accounting platforms, workflow systems, and source-to-ledger processes to improve reporting reliability and financial integrity.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
- 4+ years of direct real estate brokerage finance experience required.
- Strong understanding of brokerage economics.
- Experience leading finance transformation, process improvement, reporting enhancement, or operational finance initiatives in a multi-entity environment.
- Deep technical accounting and controllership foundation, including close management, reconciliations, reporting review, internal controls, and financial statement flow.
- Demonstrated ability to improve reporting discipline, strengthen accounting operations, and build scalable finance processes in a complex environment.
- Strong experience building management reporting for CEOs, owners, executive teams, or boards.
- Experience improving segment reporting, allocation methodologies, and profit-center visibility.
- Strong treasury and cash management experience.
- Experience overseeing banking relationships, cash concentration structures, liquidity management, and intercompany cash flows.
- Systems fluency across accounting platforms, workflow systems, and reporting dependencies.
- Executive presence and strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability and willingness to operate hands-on, not only strategically.
- Experience in a commission-driven or contractor-heavy operating environment strongly preferred.
