Our client, a leader in premium performance marine products, is seeking a Engineering Lead to oversee the planning and execution of cutting-edge projects. This is an exciting opportunity to drive engineering excellence in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where precision and performance are key.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leadership & Team Development: Direct, mentor, and grow an engineering team, guiding technical execution and fostering professional development.
• Project Management: Oversee all phases of engineering projects from concept to launch, ensuring quality, safety, budget, and timeline alignment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management, design, and production to translate customer needs into technical specs and deliverables.
• Innovation & Improvement: Spearhead continuous improvement in engineering workflows and methodologies, staying ahead of industry advancements.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure alignment with industry standards and certifications (e.g., ABYC, NMMA, ISO).
• Field Testing & Data Collection: Conduct sea trials and analyze technical performance data to support product validation and improvement.
• Vendor Relations: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design and production quality.

What You Bring

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in engineering leadership, ideally in marine, automotive, or aerospace industries.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent)
  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems for document and revision control
  • Understanding of fiberglass, composite materials, and marine system integration
  • Familiar with ERP systems and CNC tooling processes
• Knowledge: Strong grasp of ABYC, NMMA, and ISO standards
• Leadership & Organization: Demonstrated ability to manage projects, mentor teams, and drive engineering processes
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills; thrives in a fast-paced production setting

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing setting and may involve exposure to chemicals and fumes. Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) is required.
