We are seeking a motivated Tax and Accounting Intern to assist our in-house CPA and accounting team. This is a paid, part-time internship designed for a student or early-career accounting professional who wants hands-on exposure to tax preparation, bookkeeping, client document organization, and public accounting workflows. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a remote environment.
This internship may be extended based on business needs and performance, but it does not guarantee future full-time employment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with tax preparation and accounting support
- Organizing tax documents, financial records, and supporting schedules
- Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper organization
- Supporting bookkeeping, accounting, and tax-related projects as assigned
- Participating in virtual client meetings when appropriate
- Maintaining organized records and following internal deadlines and workflows
- Communicating professionally with the team regarding pending items, client needs, and project updates
- Using tax, accounting, and productivity tools to complete assigned work efficiently
Qualifications - Currently pursuing or recently completed an associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Taxation, Finance, or a related field
- Accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or administrative support experience is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional English communication skills required
- Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred
- Comfortable participating in virtual meetings
- Able to work independently in a remote environment with accountability and professionalism
- Experience with Google Workspace, Asana, or similar tools is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for the employer
Learning and Professional Development - Paid hourly experience in a corporate environment accounting team, reporting directly to our CPA
