An established commercial construction business is seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to oversee a high-profile refurbishment project in Auckland. This is a fixed-term position running from January 2026 through to June 2026, ideal for a capable site manager who is confident taking ownership of day-to-day site operations.
 
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining programme targets, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder-management skills are essential.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Oversee site operations and ensure work is completed to programme
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily workflows
• Maintain site documentation, reporting, and compliance
• Monitor health, safety, and quality standards
• Manage planning, programming, and progress updates
• Ensure smooth communication between project, design, and client teams

About You

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial refurbishment or fit-out projects
• Strong administrative and IT skills
• Confident user of Procore (essential)
• Comfortable with planning and programming tools
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work independently and drive successful outcomes

Contract Details

• 6-month contract (Jan 2026 - June 2026)
• Auckland-based refurbishment project
• Competitive hourly/contract rate based on experience
