Construction and Technical Recruitment (CTR) are working with a leading property and building consultancy is seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Building Surveyor to join their high-performing team in Auckland.

About the Role
You will be involved in a wide range of commercial building consultancy and surveying activities, supporting clients across the property, government, and private sectors. The role combines technical inspections, reporting, and advisory work, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects and contribute to the growth of the service line.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed building condition assessments and prepare high-quality technical reports
- Carry out defect diagnosis, building pathology investigations, and remedial recommendations
- Support due diligence assessments for acquisitions and portfolios
- Assist with maintenance planning, capital works forecasting and lifecycle analysis
- Undertake contract administration and project monitoring where required
- Provide technical advice to clients and build strong ongoing relationships
- Mentor junior team members (Senior level candidates)
Skills & Experience - 4-10+ years' experience in building surveying, building consultancy, or a related discipline
- Strong technical knowledge of NZ building codes, standards, materials, and construction methods
- Excellent report writing and analysis skills
- Relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Building Science, Construction, Engineering, or similar
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients confidently
- Experience with commercial buildings strongly preferred
