As a key member of the People team, reporting to the National IR/ER Partner, you’ll play an integral role in enabling strategic objectives by partnering closely with operational leaders, support office teams and centres of excellence across Talent, ER/IR, OD and more. You’ll lead key people initiatives and ensure core people processes are embedded throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and performance to recognition and retention.
Where You'll Make an Impact - Business Partnering: Collaborate with operational leaders to develop people plans that drive team performance and business success.
- Project Leadership: Lead the people workstream of change programs such as organisational redesigns, workforce planning and structural changes.
- Employee Experience: Manage and improve lifecycle programs including performance, remuneration, reward and recognition.
- Coaching & Capability: Build leader capability through hands-on coaching and people management guidance aligned to the business’s leadership framework.
- Advisory: Be a trusted advisor for all generalist HR matters escalated from the HR support function, applying insight, empathy and pragmatism to every interaction.
Your Tools for Success
You’re a commercially minded HR generalist with a knack for balancing strategic thinking and hands-on delivery. You know how to get things done in fast-paced, people-driven environments, and you’re energised by partnering with leaders to shape high-performing teams.
Experience: - 3+ years in HR Business Partner roles within large, operationally focused organisations
- Proven capability in stakeholder engagement, employee relations, performance management and HR process improvement
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and industrial instruments
- Demonstrated success leading people-related projects and managing change
- Experience using HR systems and generating meaningful workforce insights
Skills & Attributes: - Highly resilient and pragmatic with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Strong communicator with well-developed influencing and coaching skills
- Empathetic, trustworthy and confident navigating complex people matters
- Comfortable presenting to groups and delivering training or workshops
