This is a HR Business Partner role with a significant ER bend to it. You’ll be joining a high-performing people team within a major, nationally recognised retail group that has doubled in size over the last 6 years - while keeping operations lean, agile, and people-focused.

Is This Your Perfect Match?
Reporting to a HR Manager, you’ll support corporate functions and retail store operations across a defined region. You’ll partner closely with Area Managers, coaching them through people matters and taking full ownership of complex ER cases.
This isn’t a tiered model - you’ll run investigations, manage outcomes, and advise stakeholders directly. It’s a hands-on, end-to-end HR role where your experience and judgment are critical to success.
Your Role in Action
• Manage 15–25 active cases at any given time, including 2–3 serious cases weekly
• Equip and empower leaders to handle lower-level matters confidently and independently
• Be the trusted voice on all people-related matters from investigations to terminations
• Build strong, productive relationships with business leaders across corporate and store networks
• Step into initiatives and business-wide changes as needed - this is a fast-moving environment
• Help optimise people processes as systems and structures evolve
Your Toolkit
• Solid ER background in HRBP roles within high-volume sectors like retail or hospitality
• You’ve managed complex investigations and understand how to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes
• Comfortable in ambiguity and fast pace - you know how to stay calm, confident, and in control
• Self-sufficient, proactive, and trusted to run things from end to end
• Comfortable operating in environments where Excel and SharePoint are still the norm
