About the Role: Based in Hervey Bay, you will be a qualified CA/CPA accountant and a strategic thinker who is resilient with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver a range of high-quality compliance and business advisory services to clients, including;
Advanced taxation and accounting principles knowledge, with the ability to conduct in-depth research and problem-solve.
Proficiency in preparing financial accounts, income tax returns, activity statements, and other financial documentation to a high standard.
Ability to prepare budgets, cash flows, and business planning documents, along with providing strategic tax planning and business structure advice.
Strong practical knowledge of accounting software like MYOB, Reckon, Xero, and QuickBooks, enabling effective client support and system advice.
Experience in assisting clients with audits, compliance issues, and licensing applications, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
About You:
8+ years working in public practice and business services. Ideal candidates will have held a management position.
Undergraduate qualifications and Postgraduate qualifications (CA/CPA)
Exhibit a strong understanding of Australian accounting and tax rules, and experience with corporate, partnership, trusts and high-net-worth individual taxation matters
Preferably candidates will have proven leadership and people management skills, including experience in performance development, mentoring, and providing feedback to team members
Experience in client management, including conducting client meetings and identifying business opportunities
Experience with MYOB AE, MYOB Account Right, Xero and System Release programs
Professional presentation and communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional client service
