We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join the leadership team. This pivotal role offers significant growth opportunities, with a clear pathway to partnership for the right candidate. The successful applicant will oversee staff, provide mentorship, and leverage their extensive tax and business advisory expertise to drive client success.
About the Role: As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in the leadership of the firm, overseeing client engagements, mentoring staff, and contributing to the firm's strategic growth. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Mentorship:
Oversee, manage, and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Work closely with junior and senior staff to enhance technical expertise and client service capabilities.
Client & Business Advisory:
Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing expert tax and business advisory services.
Advise clients on business structuring, tax planning, and compliance, helping them achieve their financial goals.
Research and interpret tax legislation, ensuring clients receive up-to-date and relevant advice.
Lead business advisory engagements, including financial forecasting, cash flow management, and growth strategies.
Technical & Compliance Expertise:
Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, superannuation funds, and high-net-worth individuals.
Ensure compliance with tax obligations.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency within the firm.
Strategic Growth & Innovation:
Work closely with Partners to drive business growth and contribute to the firm's strategic direction.
Participate in networking and business development activities to expand the firm's client base.
Evaluate and implement new technology solutions to improve operational efficiencies.
The Ideal Candidate:
CA/CPA qualification.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting or advisory role.
Deep knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Business development acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities for clients and the firm.
Proficiency in accounting software and modern business technology tools.
Preferred Candidate Experience:
Exposure to managing tax returns for SM Es and high-net-worth individuals.
Experience in preparing technical advice and financial reports.
Familiarity with project management principles and risk management.
