About our Client:
Our client is an Australian family-owned company specialising in manufacturing, distributing and repairing a wide range of mining, industrial, agricultural, 4WD and performance drivetrains. With over 100 people and 40 years of industry experience, they are a growing company operating 13 branches stretching along the eastern seaboard of Australia from Townsville to Tasmania and across to Perth.
 
Role Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Officer will primarily be responsible for:

• Accounts receivable processing and account reconciliations (collect and allocate payments)
• Manage outstanding debtors (follow-up non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities)
• Investigate and assist in resolving or referring customer account queries appropriately
• Bank statement reconciliation and processing of daily banking deposits
• Maintain petty cash and reconcile
• Establish new trading accounts
• Overseas shipment processing and receipting
• Monthly reporting for debtors
• Assist with month-end closing in relation to accounts and receipting
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of documentation
• Assist with end-of-year balance sheet reconciliations and compliance records.

 
Candidate requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in a similar hands-on accounting role working in a team environment
• Experience with an integrated ERP system
• Microsoft Excel skills, including report development, data extraction, and understanding the needs of report users
• Close attention to detail and highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline-driven, along with proven attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the Momentum Pro computer system would be an advantage
