About our Client: Our client is an Australian family-owned company specialising in manufacturing, distributing and repairing a wide range of mining, industrial, agricultural, 4WD and performance drivetrains. With over 100 people and 40 years of industry experience, they are a growing company operating 13 branches stretching along the eastern seaboard of Australia from Townsville to Tasmania and across to Perth.
Role Overview: The Accounts Receivable Officer will primarily be responsible for:
Accounts receivable processing and account reconciliations (collect and allocate payments)
Manage outstanding debtors (follow-up non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities)
Investigate and assist in resolving or referring customer account queries appropriately
Bank statement reconciliation and processing of daily banking deposits
Maintain petty cash and reconcile
Establish new trading accounts
Overseas shipment processing and receipting
Monthly reporting for debtors
Assist with month-end closing in relation to accounts and receipting
Verify the completeness and accuracy of documentation
Assist with end-of-year balance sheet reconciliations and compliance records.
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in a similar hands-on accounting role working in a team environment
Experience with an integrated ERP system
Microsoft Excel skills, including report development, data extraction, and understanding the needs of report users
Close attention to detail and highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Deadline-driven, along with proven attention to detail.
Knowledge of the Momentum Pro computer system would be an advantage

$70,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience
