About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Program Nurse Educator on a 12-month fixed term contract to support our Diabetes program. In this role, you will not be providing direct patient care but instead you will use your specialist nursing expertise to deliver education and training to healthcare professionals across both primary and specialty care. You’ll act as a trusted clinical resource, empowering GPs, pharmacists, and nurses, with the tools and knowledge required to enhance patient management and outcomes.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging education and training programs to healthcare professionals across primary care settings
- Provide up-to-date clinical information on Diabetes management and treatment pathways
- Build strong professional relationships with HCPs to support knowledge transfer and best practice adoption
- Act as a clinical resource and advisor, supporting program objectives and educational initiatives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and accuracy of educational content
- Ensure all training is aligned with program guidelines, policies, and compliance standards
Skills & Experience: - Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Strong knowledge of diabetes disease management
- Demonstrated experience in delivering clinical education to healthcare professionals
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time independently
- Proficiency in digital platforms for education delivery and reporting
- Full Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable, insured vehicle (travel may be required)
Desired Skills & Experience: - Previous experience in program delivery, nursing education, or medical liaison roles
- Experience working within pharmaceutical, specialty care, or community health settings
- Post Graduate qualifications in a relevant clinical area
- Exposure to diabetes patient pathways (advantageous but not essential)
