About The Role
The Financial Accountant will work collaboratively with the Finance team to deliver our Finance plans and objectives. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible, along with other Finance team members, for preparing and reporting on internal and external monthly reports, ensuring policies and procedures are maintained and followed, and ensuring a clean audit report.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate month-end results within agreed timeframes, including preparation of key accruals for wholesaler stock, unprocessed transactions, pricing reconciliations, and distribution fees
- Analyse wholesaler movements and validate reporting data to ensure accuracy and provide meaningful insights
- Calculate and manage monthly distribution fee discounts, including invoicing and SKU-level allocations
- Maintain and validate Power BI data, collaborating with BI and offshore teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and support audit requirements with accurate and timely information
- Maintain process documentation, support continuous improvement initiatives, and deliver ad hoc reporting and finance support as required
Skills & Experience - 3+ years’ experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally with FMCG or pharmaceutical industry experience
- CPA/CA qualified required
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (e.g. large data analysis, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, filters) and broader Office 365 suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent higher qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve accounting issues independently
- Solid technical accounting knowledge and ability to manage recurring tasks with minimal supervision
- Continuous improvement mindset, with flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, building effective internal relationships
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Business Central) and reporting tools such Power BI
