Fourblue have partnered with a leading IDNO who are seeking an experienced Connections Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in the electricity distribution sector.
  
You will be responsible for reviewing and verifying designs for new and modified electricity connections to an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) network, ranging from LV to 11kV. Using your expertise to ensure that designs are safe, compliant and aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 
  
Responsibilities of the Connections Engineer:

• Review and verify design submissions for electricity connections from ICPs and other stakeholders, ensuring they meet safety and compliance standards
• Assist customers with their design submissions and provide clear, timely advice
• Lead initiatives and projects, working under pressure to meet regulatory and business targets
• Contribute to a culture of excellence, offering high-quality customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders
• Ensure designs are compliant with Aurora Utilities Limited Licence Conditions and standards of compliance
• Provide forecasts and accurate project information to the Head of Networks
• Work collaboratively with the team to improve technical knowledge and deliver successful outcomes  

Criteria of the Connections Engineer:

• Working towards or already holding an ONC or HNC qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• Sound understanding of LV networks, 11kV systems, and substations, including switchgear, transformers, overhead and underground circuits, and protection systems
• Experience in electrical engineering design and familiarity with industry standards, particularly in relation to IDNOs
