Multi-Utility Project Manager – UK
Hertfordshire – Hybrid working
£70,000 + £5,000 car allowance + bonus
As a Multi-Utility Project Manager you will be joining a fast-growing utilities business delivering turnkey solutions across water, electric, gas, and civils infrastructure. The role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of projects from planning through to final connection, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining high-quality delivery.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and other project managers, supporting the business as it scales and embeds systems for professional project delivery.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Lead the delivery of multi-utility projects across water, electric, gas, and civils
- Manage project programmes, procurement, RAMS, work instructions, and final connections
- Ensure projects comply with WIRS, NERS, and GIRS standards
- Liaise with clients, DNOs, IDNOs, IGTs, water companies, and subcontractors
- Monitor project performance, budgets, and risk
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of project delivery systems
- Support the business in embedding efficient processes as the team grows
Criteria for the Project Manager: - Proven experience delivering WIRS-accredited water infrastructure projects
- Experience working for a Self-Lay Provider (SLP) or Independent Connection Provider (ICP)
- Knowledge of civils delivery, reinstatement, cable/pipe laying, and utility installations
- Working familiarity with NERS, WIRS, and GIRS frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and internal/external project teams
- Comfortable with end-to-end project delivery, budgeting, and quality control
