Asset Operations Manager
North West – UK sites – Hybrid

FourBlue has partnered with one of the UK’s leading IDNOs, licensed to deliver electrical network adoption and connection services for ICPs and developers nationwide, up to 132kV. They are now looking for an Asset Operations Manager to lead the operation, maintenance, and adoption of a UK distribution network, ensuring assets are safe, reliable, and fully compliant.
Responsibilities of the Asset Operations Manager:
- Lead day-to-day network operations, including switching, isolations, and fault management
- Coordinate new connections, commissioning, and staged energisation of major projects
- Manage long-term maintenance programmes and remedial works for substations and network infrastructure
- Work closely with contractors, DNOs, ICPs, and internal teams to deliver safe, high-quality operations
- Ensure all activities meet health, safety, and regulatory standards
Criteria for the Asset Operations Manager: - Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status at 33kV or higher
- Experience in electricity distribution operations, switching, and maintenance
- Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of safety legislation and network operational requirements
- Full UK driving licence
