About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator to join the team at Joey’s Outside School Hours Care. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about supporting primary school-aged children’s wellbeing, learning and development, while growing their leadership experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will work closely with an experienced Coordinator and a dedicated team of educators who are committed to providing high-quality care in a fun, safe and engaging setting.
About Our Service
Joey’s Outside School Hours Care is located on the school grounds at Bracken Ridge, giving us full access to excellent facilities that enhance our program delivery. We provide before school care, after school care and vacation care for up to 175 children. Our service is inclusive, collaborative and well-resourced, with a strong team culture focused on providing enriching experiences for every child.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including:
- Program planning, delivery, and documentation
- Staff rostering and supervision
- Assist in the delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
- Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
- Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
- Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the coordinator.
Job Requirements: - Diploma in Children Services or ACECQA Equivalent
- 1 years' experience in the education and care of children in a similar role.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
- Child Protection Training is a requirement of this role.
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
- Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
- Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
