A Day in the Life of an Educator…
- Provide safe, caring, and interactive supervision of children
- Model and support positive interactions with children
- Build genuine, positive relationships with the local community
- Foster positive interactions with and support for parents and families
- Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of programs consistent with current legislation and frameworks
- Participate as a team member by maintaining positive working relationships
- Adhere to and promote all regulations, policies, and procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes
- Be actively involved in your own professional and personal development
- Support and follow all reasonable workplace instructions
Responsibilities of an Inclusion Support Educator - Help facilitate the inclusion of children with additional needs, in co-operation with the Teacher/Director and the child's parents
- Help create an inclusive environment that promotes competence, independence, exploration, and learning through play
- Assist in preparing, implementing, and evaluating programs and resources to support the educational needs of the child/ren, consistent with current legislation and frameworks
- Work collaboratively with outside specialists and other support services
Job Requirements: - Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in an ACEQA approved Education and Care qualification (preferred)
- Hold a current Blue Card and First Aid/CPR including Asthma and Anaphylaxis (or willing to obtain)
- Hold (or are willing to complete) National Safeguarding Training
