Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy educational institute in London/Kent, are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their business development operations.       

Position: Business Development Manager
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35) 
Contract Duration: Temporary (Sep 2026) with Possible Extension  

Purpose:

• Identify and Secure Business: Actively seek out and secure business from both future and existing employers, managing relationships effectively to maximise future opportunities and exceed targets.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Prospecting: Identify potential clients through market research, industry events, and networking.
• Lead Generation: Develop new business opportunities by initiating contact with potential clients through various channels such as email, phone calls, and face to face meetings. Maintain regular contact with current employers by phone, video call and in person to increase training opportunities.
• Effectively negotiate terms and close deals to secure business, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and targets.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• At least 1 year experience within a Housing Officer role or equivalent.
• Level 3 in Sales or related subject (Desirable) 
• Driving Licence and own Vehicle required. 
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
