About the Company:

Our client is a leading US and Australian manufacturer and supplier to the mining industry, specialising in the production of high-quality reverse circulation (RC) drills used for exploration. Operating from their Welshpool facility, they also deliver complete rebuilds, maintenance, and servicing. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder / Fitter to join their team.

What's on Offer:

• $65 per hour flat + super
• Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Consistent hours with overtime available
• Minimum 3 month contract (possible extension or permanency)
• Clean and well-structured workshop environment

Key Duties:

• Pipe welding and fabrication to high safety and quality standards
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
• Using pipework dimensions for reference and adjusting cut lengths when alternative parts are used
• Recording fabrication details and weld quality test results against unique pipe section numbers
• Completing repeated pipe sections where required (using A, B, C suffixes)
• Fabricating pipework in accordance with AS4041:2006
• Ensuring all welding complies with AS3992:2020
• Working with systems operating at 69 bar [1000 PSI]
• Conducting hydrostatic testing in accordance with AS4037-1999

What You Need:

• Proven experience as a Pipe Welder
• Australian trade certificate
• Strong MIG/TIG or flux-core welding capability
• Ability to work from drawings with high accuracy
• Understanding of Australian Standards for pressure piping (preferred)
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work autonomously
