Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a well-established national civil construction contractor specialising in road construction, asphalt surfacing, spray sealing, pavement rehabilitation, and infrastructure projects across North Queensland. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Asphalt Spray Seal Foreman or Leading Hand to join their Townsville-based team. 

Asphalt Spray Seal Foreman / Leading Hand

• $110,000 - $140,000 + Super
• Townsville Based + Remote Site Work Across North QLD

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Supervising asphalt and spray seal crews on civil and road construction projects.
• Coordinating daily site activities to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Leading by example while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Assisting with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Operating plant and equipment where required.
• Liaising with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Completing site documentation and reporting.
• Working on remote projects throughout North Queensland as required.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Foreman or Leading Hand on asphalt spray seal, civil, or main roads projects.
• Alternatively, 3-5+ years' experience in asphalt, spray seal, civil construction, or road maintenance with leadership potential.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving, spray sealing, road maintenance, or civil construction.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Based in Townsville or willing to relocate within 3-6 months.
• Willing to travel and work away on remote projects throughout North Queensland.
