Pearl Recruitment has partnered with a well-established engineering consultancy servicing the mining and resources sector. Due to a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are seeking experienced Mechanical and Structural Engineers at Senior, Lead and Principal level to join their Perth CBD team.
  
These roles will initially support an upcoming gold project, so previous experience working across gold or similar mineral processing projects is essential. Rates are competitive and negotiable depending on experience and level.

The Opportunity: Working across rare earths and other mineral processing projects, you’ll provide technical engineering, project coordination and team leadership. Key responsibilities may include:

• Completing mechanical or structural engineering design calculations and technical assessments
• Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, reports and documentation
• Mechanical engineering for conveyors, feeders, rockbreakers, isolation gates and fixed plant equipment
• Structural engineering for steelwork, platforms, walkways, supports and associated mining infrastructure
• Reviewing designs to ensure they meet project, safety, constructability and technical requirements
• Providing technical analysis and optimisation throughout project delivery
• Coordinating with clients, vendors, designers and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and in line with project schedules and budgets
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
• Leading engineering packages or discipline teams at Lead and Principal level
• Contributing to engineering standards, systems and continuous improvement initiatives

  
Skills & Experience: To be considered, you will require:

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• At least five years of engineering experience within mining, resources, EPC or EPCM projects
• Previous experience working on gold or similar mineral processing projects
• Strong fixed plant, mineral processing, bulk materials handling or mining infrastructure experience
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian standards, engineering practices and project requirements
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
• Australian working rights
• Lead and Principal-level applicants must have experience reviewing engineering deliverables, leading technical teams, managing engineering packages and mentoring junior staff.
