Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a national and international construction company who specialises in civil infrastructure, road recycling and project management. They are seeking a diesel/HV mechanic with a relevant trade qualiication, strong mechanical knowledge and skills and a proven track record of maintenance, service and repair of heavy equipment.

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Will Consider Highly Skilled LV Mechanics) 

• $120k - 150k pa
• Based in Townsville, QLD + Remote Site Work
• 2 Years Post Trade
• Working on trucks, mobile plant, earthmoving and civil machinery. 

About the Role

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical repairs 
• Performing routine servicing including hydraulics inspections, oil changes, brake inspections, and operational testing
• Inspecting heavy vehicles for structural issues and determining required repairs
• Repairing or replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components
• Working with hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
• Completing testing to ensure machinery and systems are functioning correctly
• Maintaining records of inspections, work completed, and parts used
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures

What We Are Looking For

• At least 2 years post trade experience
• Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic 
• Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, mobile plant, and machinery.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills 
• FIFO/DIDO Experience (advantageous)
