Pearl Recruitment is currently seeking multiple trade assistants for our clients in Forrestdale and Malaga. These are ongoing roles starting in January with the opportunity to lead to full-time employment, a great way to kick start your 2026!
Trade Assistant / Yard Hand - Forrestdale
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 7:00am to 5:00pm (OT & occasional Saturdays available)
Rate: $35.00 + Super
Job Scope:
This is a hands-on Trade Assistant / Yard Hand role supporting workshop and yard operations at our client's Forrestdale depot. Duties include assisting mechanical fitters with assembly and maintenance tasks, operating hand and power tools, loading and unloading trucks using a forklift (if licenced), setting up shelving and storing parts, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop and yard environment
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in a Trade Assistant or Yard Hand role. Current driver's licence and reliable transport. Forklift licence with operating experience (advantageous). Strong ability to use hand and power tools in a workshop environment. Physically fit and capable of manual handling. Ability to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screen.
Trade Assistant - Malaga
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, typically 10-hour days Rate: $35.00 - $40.00hr + super (pending experience)
Job Scope: This role involves supporting workshop operations through the assembly, maintenance, and repair of mining fixed plant equipment. Duties include the use of hand and power tools, assisting trades as required, completing general labouring tasks, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment. You may also be required to operate forklift or rigging equipment where licenced.
Essential Requirements: Current driver's licence and reliable transport. High Risk Work Licence - Forklift or Rigging (essential). Strong mechanical aptitude with proven experience using hand and power tools in an industrial or workshop environment. Physically fit and capable of manual handling. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
