Pearl Recruitment Group is partnering with a valued client in the Perth CBD to source an experienced Piping Designer for an initial 3-4 month project. With several significant projects commencing, the team is expanding, and for the right candidate this position offers a strong opportunity for extension and genuine potential for permanency.

About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for delivering 3D drafting and design work across a range of piping-related projects. This includes piping layout, specification, and design services to support project requirements from concept through to construction.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and produce accurate 3D piping designs, layouts and drawings in line with project standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to share information, resolve design issues and maintain alignment across project deliverables.
• Review and process vendor drawings, documentation and technical data to ensure compliance and suitability for the project.
• Assist with checking and verifying project and study drawings, as well as contributing to estimates when required.
• Follow engineering and HSES procedures, actively promoting a strong commitment to safety and quality in all design activities.

 
About you:
To be successful in this position, you will have:

• Advanced Diploma of Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of five years piping design experience or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong experience with Bentley OpenPlant Modeler software. 
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Microstation.
• Good attitude and willingness to learn and develop professionally.
