Our client is a market leader in engineering and fabrication solutions for the mining and industrial sectors. Known for their innovation, quality, and customer-focused approach, the company provides a wide range of engineered safety and productivity products to some of Australia's largest mining operations.
Due to company growth, they are seeking a Technical Sales professional to join their growing team in the southeastern suburbs on Perth.
The Role:
In this position, you'll take ownership of client relationships while supporting a team of six Sales Consultants. You'll combine your technical and design knowledge with your leadership abilities to drive sales performance, deliver exceptional client outcomes, and contribute to the continued success of the business.
Key duties include:
- Conducting regular client site visits (approximately once a fortnight) to assess needs and provide tailored engineering solutions.
- Interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with the design and production teams to develop fit-for-purpose products.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients in the mining and industrial sectors.
- Identifying opportunities for new business and contributing to sales strategy and performance targets.
- Overseeing sales operations to ensure efficiency, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
About You: You're a technically minded sales professional who enjoys being both hands-on and strategic. You're comfortable engaging with clients on-site, interpreting design requirements, and working alongside engineers and fabricators to deliver the best possible outcomes. You're also a natural leader — someone who inspires, communicates well, and leads by example.
To be successful, you will bring: - Experience in technical sales, fabrication, or mechanical design within the mining or industrial sector.
- Strong technical understanding of design and manufacturing processes.
- Leadership or team supervisory experience (or a strong desire to step into leadership).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel to mine sites regularly (approximately once a fortnight).
- Current driver's licence and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
