Senior Civil Engineer / Technical Lead – Tauranga (CPEng)
  
Take ownership of civil engineering delivery in the Bay of Plenty for a Leading Multi-discipline Engineering Consultancy and play a key role in shaping both regional and national outcomes. This is an Autonomous Senior Technical Leadership role combining hands-on civil design with team leadership, client engagement, and strategic input across a well-established consultancy.
  
The Role
As Technical Lead for the Bay of Plenty, you will provide technical leadership and mentoring to the local team while contributing to projects and collaboration across multiple offices nationally. You will have the autonomy, trust, and support to make this role your own, with a strong focus on technical excellence, client relationships, and regional growth.
  

• Small to large residential, commercial, and industrial developments
• Roading and pavement design
• Three Waters engineering
• Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD)
• Construction management and verification
• Retaining wall and MSE wall design
• Coastal and marine structures

  
About You

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• CPEng status (or currently in the CPEng application process)
• 5+ years’ NZ Industry experience, including time in a consultancy environment
• Strong civil design capability across multiple disciplines
• Experience leading, mentoring, and building engineering teams
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D 
• A client-focused mindset and genuine enthusiasm for engineering
