Lynx Recruitment has partnered with a leading builder in the residential industry to find their next Senior Quantity Surveyor.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected, award-winning residential builder delivering some of Queenstown's most architecturally designed homes.
With decades of experience and a reputation built on quality, craftsmanship, and strong relationships with architects and clients, this business consistently delivers bespoke, high-end homes across the Queenstown Lakes region.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in managing the financial performance of their projects from concept through to completion.
About the Role
You will work closely with clients, architects, and the wider construction team, ensuring projects are delivered on budget without compromising on quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full project cost management from feasibility through to final account
- Preparation of detailed cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
- Procurement and subcontractor negotiation
- Variation management and cost control
- Cashflow forecasting and financial reporting
- Working collaboratively with architects on design-led residential builds
- Providing accurate, transparent reporting to internal and external stakeholders
This is a hands-on role where you will be involved early in the design phase and contribute to delivering exceptional, bespoke homes.

About You You're an experienced Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a high-quality, detail-driven environment.
You will bring: - 7+ years' experience in residential or high-end construction
- Strong experience managing projects end-to-end
- Proven ability to work closely with architects and clients
- Excellent commercial acumen and cost planning capability
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Experience with architecturally designed homes (highly regarded)
