We are representing a leading building services consultancy seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their Auckland CBD based team. This is an exciting chance to work on innovative projects that shape sustainable building design.

You will be involved in Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Sustainability Services, with exposure to ESD (Environmentally Sustainable Design) and building physics. The role includes design delivery, project coordination, and client interaction—making a real impact on the built environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical and hydraulic services design for building projects.
• Lead ESD services and support sustainability initiatives.
• Perform thermal modelling, natural ventilation analysis, and related building physics tasks.
• Ensure quality documentation and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to achieve project success.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• NZ Consultancy experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic building services.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand Standards and Building codes
• Experience with energy and building modelling (IES software preferred).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver on time.
• A growth mindset and passion for sustainable design.
