We’re now looking for a Materials Scientist to join their team. This is a hands-on, intellectually engaging role suited to someone who enjoys working in the “grey,” applying scientific thinking to real-world problems, and translating complex data into meaningful insights for clients.
What you will do
- Design and deliver materials testing programmes across a range of building products
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets to generate clear, evidence-based conclusions
- Develop and refine testing methodologies and solve technical challenges as they arise
- Prepare high-quality technical reports for clients and stakeholders
- Engage directly with clients, understanding their needs and communicating outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the testing function
What we are looking for - Strong problem-solving mindset; comfortable making informed judgement calls
- Data-driven with the ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate complex results
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage directly with customers
- Curious, inquisitive, and learning-oriented mindset
- Background in materials science, chemistry, or a related discipline
- Exposure to or interest in AI and emerging technologies is a bonus
