As a specialist recruitment partner, Scitex Recruitment is proud to be working with a highly respected organisation operating within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector to recruit a Quality Control Chemist for their Auckland laboratory.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical chemist who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, thrives in a structured GMP environment, and wants to contribute to products that directly impact patient care.
Due to the nature of production, this role operates on an early morning schedule, with shifts starting as early as 4:00am and finishing around midday. If you enjoy getting your day started early and finishing while others are just heading to lunch, this could be the perfect lifestyle fit.
What you will do:
- Perform quality control testing using HPLC, GC and other analytical techniques
- Analyse results and ensure products meet quality specifications prior to release
- Complete laboratory documentation accurately in accordance with GMP requirements
- Assist with investigations relating to OOS and OOT results where required
- Carry out routine equipment calibration and scheduled laboratory activities
- Assist with logistics and operational support activities
What we are looking for
- Degree qualification in Chemistry or another relevant science discipline
- Experience using HPLC and/or GC within a laboratory
- Comfortable working early morning shifts, with start times from 4:00am
- Able to work independently while contributing positively within a team
- Calm under pressure with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Reliable transport due to early start times
