Scitex Recruitment is partnering with a leading New Zealand manufacturing business to identify an emerging or established Warehouse Manager ready to take ownership of a busy and high-performing operation.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor ready to take the next step into a management role, or an existing Warehouse Manager looking for a new challenge. We're seeking someone who can combine strong leadership capability with a hands-on approach and the ability to bring people, systems and process together.
This is not a desk-based leadership role. You'll be visible on the warehouse floor around 50% of your time, coaching your team, solving problems and driving performance in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 9–10 warehouse staff
- Ensure efficient warehouse operations, inventory control and product dispatch activities
- Manage relationships with freight providers, third-party suppliers and key operational partners
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processes and systems
- Work closely with manufacturing, customer service and operational stakeholders to achieve service outcomes and delivery targets
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor or Warehouse Manager within FMCG, manufacturing or a similar environment
- SAP experience is essential – SAP S/4HANA even better!
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Comfortable taking a hands-on approach and spending significant time on the warehouse floor
- Experience managing inventory, KPIs and operational performance metrics
- Ability to analyse issues, implement solutions and drive positive change
