We are partnering with a New Zealand business in the building products sector to recruit a Senior Technical Estimation Advisor. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced estimator or technical specialist to move into a role that combines industry expertise, software systems, customer support, and product configuration.
What you will do
- Provide technical support and training to customers using a specialist system
- Configure and maintain product, pricing, and database structures
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Test software updates and new functionality before release
- Troubleshoot quoting, costing, and configuration issues
- Support customer onboarding and pricing analysis
- Work closely with technical, product, and software development teams
What we are looking for - Technical estimating experience within aluminium joinery, windows and doors or related manufacturing industries
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, product configuration, and material usage
- Experience using quotation software systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Sound understanding of BOMs, costing, margins, and pricing principles
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Experience with industry software such as V6, X1, AutoCAD, or similar systems will be highly regarded.
