We are partnering with a specialist fire protection and coatings provider to recruit a technical specialist to lead growth of their commercial intumescent, cementitious and hydrocarbon fire protection portfolio across New Zealand.

Based at their Tauranga head office, this is a rare hybrid role combining technical expertise and strategic sales support. Ideal for someone from fire engineering, coatings, chemistry or a regulated technical background who enjoys influencing projects and supporting teams rather than pure sales.

What you will do:

• Support national growth in their commercial intumescent, cementitious and hydrocarbon fire protection solutions
• Deliver technical presentations to consultants, fire engineers, fabricators and applicators
• Guide sales teams with technical positioning and specification support
• Act as subject matter expert on regulations, standards and industry trends
• Work with global partners to introduce new technologies
• Identify opportunities across infrastructure and commercial projects
• Support specifications and project interpretation

What we are looking for:

• Background in fire engineering, coatings, chemistry or related field
• Experience in engineering or sales within chemicals/fireproofing
• Degree in a related field preferred
• Experience in passive fire protection or regulated technical products
• Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
• Understanding of fire protection standards, regulations and compliance
• Ability to support national technical sales and drive new opportunities

This role may suit a fire engineer moving toward a technical commercial pathway or someone already supporting specification-led technical solutions.
