We are partnering with a highly regarded New Zealand-based manufacturer to secure a LIMS Lead—a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of laboratory operations, quality, and IT systems.
This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a LabWare LIMS, acting as the organisation’s Subject Matter Expert and driving system optimisation, reliability, and future capability. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the platform remains robust, compliant, and aligned with evolving business needs.
What you will do
- Own and administer the LabWare LIMS, including configuration, workflows, and master data
- Act as the SME, providing expert troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system support
- Lead LIMS enhancements, including design, build, testing, validation, and deployment
- Develop and maintain reports, supporting data analysis, trending, and business insights
- Deliver user training and promote consistent, best-practice system use across teams
What we are looking for
- Strong hands-on experience with LabWare (preferred) or other LIMS
- Proven ability working with subroutines / advanced configuration or coding
- Solid understanding of master data management and interconnected database structures
- Experience troubleshooting backend issues, including bug investigation and resolution
- Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Crystal Reports, or LabWare reporting tools)
What’s in it for you
- 9% super plus medical insurance
- Take full ownership of a business-critical system with real impact across operations
- Work in a collaborative environment with strong cross-functional engagement
- Lead meaningful system improvements and projects from concept to delivery
- Join a stable, well-established organisation with a strong quality focus
- Competitive salary and long-term career development opportunities
- Be recognised as the go-to expert in a highly specialised and valued space
If you’re a technically strong LIMS professional who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing stakeholders, and driving system excellence—this is a role where you can truly make your mark.
