Leading Hand Concreter / Civil Operator
Brisbane & Surrounding Areas
$60-$70 per hour + Company Vehicle + Performance Bonuses
 
We're looking for an experienced Leading Hand Concreter to join our growing team. This is a senior role for someone who can lead from the front, run crews efficiently, and deliver high-quality work across commercial, civil, and residential projects across Brisbane and surrounding areas.
 
If you're hands-on, take pride in your work, and have strong leadership experience in concreting, earthworks, and structural retaining systems, we want to hear from you.

About the Role
 
As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising and coordinating site crews
• Reading plans and setting out works
• Managing day-to-day site operations and schedules
• Working across multiple sites throughout Brisbane and surrounding suburbs
• Ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Operating machinery when required
• Mentoring apprentices and junior team members
• Liaising with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in concreting, with proven experience in a senior or leadership role
• Strong background in:
  • House slabs
  • Footpaths, driveways, and hardstands
  • Formwork, steel fixing, pours, and finishing
  • Civil and commercial concreting projects
  • Retaining wall construction (highly important) including set-out, excavation, footings, drainage, reinforcement, and finishing
• Current machinery tickets and operating experience for:
  • Excavator
  • Loader
  • Skid Steer
• Current full, clean driver's licence
• Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel between sites
• HR licence advantageous
• White Card
• Strong knowledge of site safety and construction processes
• Ability to lead a crew and maintain high productivity standards
