Immediate HSEQ Adviser opportunity in Southbank! 3-month contract with genuine temp-to-perm potential. Healthcare experience highly regarded.
We are currently working with a well-recognised national client who is seeking an experienced HSEQ Adviser to join their team on an initial 3-month contract to cover a secondment, with a genuine opportunity to transition be extended or go from ta permanent position.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional who enjoys partnering with operational teams, driving a positive safety culture and making a genuine impact across health, safety, environment and quality.
A background within the healthcare industry will be highly regarded, however applicants from construction, facilities management, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing or other safety-focused industries are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support site access compliance and contractor management.
- Facilitate safety forums, toolbox talks and WHS meetings.
- Conduct incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Prepare monthly WHS reporting and maintain the site risk register.
- Support implementation of site safety management plans.
- Partner with operational leaders to identify and manage workplace hazards.
- Participate in internal and client WHS audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HSEQ systems.
About You
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety preferred.
- Previous experience as an HSEQ, WHS or Safety Adviser.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience with investigations, audits, risk management and contractor compliance.
- Confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience within healthcare will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Available to commence at short notice.
